The Rocket Launcher T34 (Calliope) was an average battle tank with a rocket launcher attached to it. The tank used was the sherman M4, on which were fixed 60 tubes for rockets of 114mm (4.5 in). Developed in 1934 in small numbers, it will be used in 1944 and 1945 by several armored units.
Variants of the Sherman Calliope T34:
T34E1: Same model as T34, except for groups of rockets. Groups of 12 releasable tubes are replaced by groups of 14 tubes
T34E2: The caliber of the rockets is increased. We move from rockets of 114 mm (4.5 in) to 183 mm (7.2 in). There are always 60. This version will be in combat in 1944 and 1945.
